Baltimore City and Baltimore County Host Fourth Annual Regional “Honoring our Veterans” Career Fair

Baltimore, MD – Baltimore City Mayor’s Office of Employment Development, in partnership with the Baltimore County Workforce Development System and the Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation – Division of Workforce Development, will host its 4th Annual Regional “Honoring Our Veterans” Career Fair. The Career Fair will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 from 10:00am – 2:00pm at the War Memorial Building located at 101 N. Gay Street in Baltimore City.

The “Honoring Our Veterans” Career Fair is open to all individuals looking for employment regardless of military status. Veterans as well as non-veterans are welcome to attend. Many events are being held around the state to honor the sacrifices and memory of those that have served and continue to serve our country.  There will be over 40 employers on-hand representing a variety of employment opportunities.

  • Baltimore County & City Human Resources
  • Baltimore City Police Department
  • Baltimore Data Capture Center
  • Chimes
  • Johns Hopkins Bayview
  • MD Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services
  • MD Transportation Authority Police
  • Pointe Technology Group
  • Social Security Administration
  • Southwest Airlines
  • System One Services
  • Towson University
  • United Insurance Company
  • Military Branches, Local, State and Federal Government

In addition, a variety of veteran and workforce development agencies, as well as service providers will also be available with valuable information and resources. Job seekers should bring plenty of résumés. Limited space is available for employers. There are no fees to participate in this event.
